📱Stocktaking with your Convenience PDE
The Convenience PDE device lets you conduct stocktake on the go by scanning items as you walk around your store, rather than entering them at the backoffice computer.
⚠️ Important: Before you start you must create your stocktake batch in the backoffice first.

Using the PDE for Stocktake
- Open Stocktake on your Convenience PDE
- Scan an item's barcode
- Enter the quantity using the keypad

- Continue scanning and entering quantities for other items

💡 Tip: If you scan the same item multiple times at different times, the counts will be added together automatically.
Item Unrecognized
If you scan an item that doesn't exist in the system, you'll see a pop-up message saying the item is unrecognized. You'll need to add the item to your system before you can include it in the stocktake.

How Item Counts Work
As you scan items on the PDE, they automatically appear in the backoffice Stocktake screen in real-time.

If you re-scan an item that's already in the stocktake and enter another count, it will add to the existing count rather than replace it.
Finishing Your Stocktake
Once you've scanned all items, you'll need to update the stocktake in the backoffice to finalise your counts.
