📋 Stocktake Essentials Part 1: Preparation

This 5 part series will cover the whole stocktake process.

Before starting a stocktake, you need to prepare your Convenience system to ensure accurate counting. This involves stopping the Journaler to prevent sales updates and clearing any old stocktake entries.

It's recommended to perform stocktakes after trading hours when the store is closed. Items in trolleys or being scanned at the register can't be counted accurately during trading.

ℹ️ Note: If you use parent/child item setups, you can scan both cartons and packets during the count, but only the parent item will update the stock on hand.

Stop the Journaler

Stop the Journaler to prevent sales data from updating during the stocktake.

  1. Navigate to the bottom right corner of your screen
  2. Right-click the Journaler Icon
  3. Select Stop Journaling
  4. Click Yes to confirm

When finished with your stocktake: Select Start Journaling and click Yes to resume.

⚠️ Important: Don't forget to restart the Journaler after completing your stocktake, or sales data won't update in Convenience.

  2. Select Stocktake Entry
