📋Automatic Ordering: Getting Started

Automatic Ordering only works if your setup is clean. Here are five things you must get right first.

Your 5-point checklist:

  1. ✅Invoices are updated
    All stock coming in must be entered via Orders/Invoicing. No old, open orders left sitting there.

  2. ✅Wastage is recorded
    Any lost, damaged, or expired stock must be logged in Wastage Entry. This keeps your stock levels accurate.

  3. ✅Parent/Child item links are set
    Bulk items (like cartons) and single units (like packs) must be linked so the system tracks them correctly.

  4. ✅Min and Max stock levels are defined
    These set the lower and upper limits for how much stock you want on hand at any time.

  5. ✅A recent stocktake is done
    Your actual stock-on-hand needs to be correct — otherwise, the system can’t order accurately.

💡 Skipping even one of these steps can throw off your orders. Get these right, and the rest will flow.
