⚡ Using Fast Price Entry for Quick Item Updates

Fast Price Entry is a tool in Convenience that lets you make rapid adjustments to:

✅ Selling prices (Normal, Wholesale, Cold, Rec Retail)
✅ GP (Gross Profit)
✅ Carton Cost and Carton Quantity

It’s ideal for bulk changes or fixing low-margin items efficiently.

Open the Fast Price Entry tool

In Convenience, go to the Inventory tab and click Fast Price Entry.

Load the items you want to change

You can load items using one of the following methods:

Select by Department

Choose which price level you want to modify (e.g. Normal Sell, Wholesale)
Click Select by > Department
Choose a department and click OK

Load from a PDE

If you're using a docked PDE scanner, select Load PDE Items to bring in scanned products

Import from a CSV file

Click Export to CSV to generate the format
Keep only line 1 (ITEM-NO, PRICE) and add your data
Then re-import the CSV file

Using the "Select by" option is typically faster than creating a CSV.

Make your changes

Once the item list loads:

Click directly into a price, cost, or GP field to change it
Changes will be marked with a ✅ in the Changed column
You can also update Carton Quantity if needed

If you want to fix low GP items, click on the GP column to sort by lowest first. Use arrow keys to move down the list or enable Go to next cell on Enter for fast keyboard navigate.

A few handy tips

Changing GP will automatically recalculate the item’s price.
If an item has Hold GP enabled, changing the cost will adjust the price to maintain margin.
If items share a Replicate Code, updates will apply to all linked items.

Post the changes

When you're finished:

Click Post Changes
Confirm when prompted

This will apply updates and post the changes to labels and tills.

If you want to start another round of edits, click Clear Filters to reset the item grid.
