💰 Creating Normal Promotions
Normal promotions are your standard weekly sales on individual items. These are typically hosted by your supplier (IGA, Foodworks, Spar) and run weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or 8-weekly.
Creating a Normal Promotion
1. Navigate to the Inventory tab in Convenience and select Promotions
2. Click Add at the top of the window
3. Enter the promo number (any number you choose) and select the batch type Sell
4. Click OK

Setting Up the Promotion Batch
1. Enter a description for the promotion
2. Set the Start Date and End Date

Adding Items to the Promotion
Click the Add button at the bottom of the screen to add items
If you know the item number:
- Enter the item number in the Item Number field
- Press Enter on your keyboard
- Enter the promotional price in Price 1 Promo (or Cold Promo Price for cold items)
- Click OK
If you don't know the item number:
- Click the Find button to search for the item
- Select the item from the search results
- Enter the promotional price in Price 1 Promo (or Cold Promo Price for cold items)
- Click OK

ℹ️ Note: If an item has a replicate code, you'll be prompted to add other items with the same code at the same price - useful for product ranges like Cadbury chocolate varieties.
The add item window stays open after each save, ready for the next item. Details of the last added item display at the bottom.
Finishing the Promotion
- Once all items are added, click Finish at the bottom right
- Print your special shelf tickets
- Click Initiate/Terminate to send the promotion to registers
The promotion will activate automatically at the scheduled start date overnight, or immediately if you initiate it.
