💰Creating Discount % Selected Sets Offers

Discount % selected sets offers let you apply percentage discounts across multiple item groups. Examples include "Buy 1 Coke and get a chocolate 50% off" or "Buy 2 Cokes and get a chocolate free."

Example 1: Buy 1 Coke and Get a Chocolate 50% Off

Creating the Promotion

  1. Navigate to the Inventory tab in Convenience and select Promotions
  2. Click Add
  3. Enter the promo number and select batch type Sell
  4. Click OK
  5. Enter a description and set the Start Date and End Date
  6. Change Offer Type from Normal to Discount % Selected Sets

Configuring Offer Sets

Set 1 Configuration (the purchase requirement): 1. Tick Set1 Active 2. Enter 1 in Trigger Qty 3. Leave Discount % at 0

Set 2 Configuration (the discounted item): 1. Tick Set2 Active 2. Enter 1 in Trigger Qty 3. Enter 50 in Discount %

Adding Items

  1. Click Add at the bottom of the screen
  2. Add Coca Cola items with Offer Set = 1
  3. Add chocolate items with Offer Set = 2
  4. Click OK after each item

Activating the Promotion

  1. Click Finish
  2. Click Initiate/Terminate to send to registers
  3. Test at the register

Example 2: Buy 2 Cokes and Get a Chocolate Free

Creating the Promotion

Follow steps 1-6 from Example 1.

Configuring Offer Sets

Set 1 Configuration: 1. Tick Set1 Active 2. Enter 2 in Trigger Qty (customer must buy 2 Cokes) 3. Leave Discount % at 0

Set 2 Configuration: 1. Tick Set2 Active 2. Enter 1 in Trigger Qty 3. Enter 100 in Discount % (100% = free)

Adding Items

  1. Add Coca Cola items with Offer Set = 1
  2. Add chocolate items with Offer Set = 2
  3. Click Finish
  4. Click Initiate/Terminate to send to registers
