💰Creating Discount $ Selected Sets Offers

Discount $ selected sets offers work exactly like Discount % selected sets offers, but apply a fixed dollar discount instead of a percentage.

Use this for offers like "Buy 1 Coke and get $2 off a chocolate" or "Buy 2 Cokes and get $3 off a pie."

Creating the Offer

  1. Navigate to the Inventory tab in Convenience and select Promotions
  2. Click Add
  3. Enter the promo number and select batch type Sell
  4. Click OK
  5. Enter a description and set the Start Date and End Date
  6. Change Offer Type from Normal to Discount $ Selected Sets

Configuring Offer Sets

Set 1 Configuration (the purchase requirement): 1. Tick Set1 Active 2. Enter the Trigger Qty (number of items needed) 3. Leave the discount value at 0

Set 2 Configuration (the discounted item): 1. Tick Set2 Active 2. Enter 1 in Trigger Qty 3. Enter the dollar discount amount in Discount $ (e.g., 2.00 for $2 off) 4. For cold promotions, use the Cold field

Adding Items

  1. Click Add at the bottom of the screen
  2. Add items for Set 1 with Offer Set = 1
  3. Add items for Set 2 with Offer Set = 2
  4. Click OK after each item
  5. Repeat until all items are added

Activating the Promotion

  1. Click Finish
  2. Print your shelf tickets
  3. Click Initiate/Terminate to send to registers
  4. Test at the register to confirm the discount applies
